Hi, that was cute.  kids and violins are always cute!   So I though I could do a little different...

Raphael and Buri, do your cats own/ed you that much? That's a little too much isn't it?

Hey, throw me that stick will you?

Papa where's your million $ worth peice of wood you allow me to make my teeth on the other day?

And someone who loved Amadeus movie so much she dressed in Mozart at Halloween and played for her old dog (a few years ago...)  Yes you can laugh!

Trevor thanks (nice dog!), I'm happy to see that I was not the only one playing for my dog. (well I should say my former dog because poor thing is in heaven now...)   At least, you're not crazy ennough to wear an Amadeus costume to do so : = )

judging by the angle of the neck tilt of trevor's intonation coach, trevor's rapid progress through all the suzuki books in less than 3 months should not have come as a surprise to many.

wish my kid one day develops supple wrist like this:

Cat and the fiddle.

Anne-Marie, many thanks for the video which was quite entertaining, but there were some rather odd and unexplained intermissions each lasting several seconds at least, each comprising a blank screen with the words "Please stand by ...".  However, I've now come across a YouTube version in which the blank screen intermissions have apparently been replaced by new clips, so the overall length of the video is unaltered. The link is

Thanks!  Though in the new scenes, I find some tricks are pretty dangerous for the dogs (even if very impressing) and I wonder in which country such tricks are legal?  Maybe that's the reasons of these black interruptions in the previous video?  And the Eiffel Tower, that's just a TV thing... But I do appreciate to see all the "safe" tricks!!

Anne-Marie, I think you've hit on the solution. Someone must have been sensitive to, or had concerns about, some of the clips and blacked them out. This was presumably done digitally and would have been quicker than deleting the clips and so shortening the video. Perhaps someone found a way of reversing the digital black-out, or had access to the unexpurgated version.

One of our daughters, Ellen Marcus, is an artist and did an oil painting of a fish playing a violin. You can find it on her "zazzle" website -
Look through her work for the fiddling fish.

Yes, Anne Marie, my cat owned me too much! But I was powerless to do much about it! I named my cat after the maker of my favorite violin at the time - Désiré. I called her "Desi" for short. Sometimes the wooden Désiré needed protection from the furry Désiré!

Speaking of cats and violins, I found a cute pic. Can someone tell me how to upload it to here?

: )   Nice story.

I'm not able to upload pictures.  I try but it never works.  Unstead, I put a link.  To put a link, you click on what looks like a earth globe in the toolbar of the answering box and you juste paste the URL there.

It took Smiley to tell me that one because I had never explore the toolbar ennough to figure out that!

My brother named our dog Luda (because it's similar sounding to Marilou who was our previous dog).  It happens to also be my violin teacher's nickname (she's Lyudmila).  So we joke that their is the dog and the human Lyudmila.  Interestingly, they both think alike.  Both have incredible body coordination, are afraid of nothing and are not too tall.  Our dog would be a heck of violinist if she was "human"!

Sander, bravo for her fiddling fish!!

How cute is this?

Couldn't get it to work. It's already in my own pic collection, and tried to attach it from an e-mail. Suggestions anyone?
