March 10, 2007 at 03:23 AM · Where is this available?

March 10, 2007 at 04:29 PM · Some of these performances (studio performances) are on readily available commercial CD's, and they are fantastic.

March 10, 2007 at 05:53 PM · I'd love to hear the live concerti!

The shorter pieces are all reissues with some jaw-dropping playing.

On another note, the biography 'Michael Rabin: America's Virtuoso Violinist' by Anthony Feinstein is a great read.

March 10, 2007 at 06:43 PM · I've written this elsewhere, but I heard Rabin live (he was about 21 or 22) play the Paganini 1st Concerto in Philadelphia with the PO. The playing, from every point of view, was more than fantastic.

March 11, 2007 at 01:55 AM · Will this be available through the normal channels like Amazon upon its release?

March 12, 2007 at 12:34 PM · for legal reasons, the Rabin CDs will be not available for direct sales in USA, however it will be possible to order it by any Non-US dealers like Amazon UK, Canada, etc.

Will let you know, where and when.

March 12, 2007 at 03:38 PM · Thanks alot. I can't wait for this to come out. I'm going to buy it the day it comes out.

March 15, 2007 at 08:12 AM · Sander, all these performances are live, never issued before, and some of the pieces were never recorded commercially by Rabin (Lalo, Brahms..). This set is a real treasure!!

March 15, 2007 at 12:14 PM · Daniel: That's great; what a find. And as I mentioned, I heard him live once, and it was better than any of his recordings (and I love his recordings).

Thanks. Sandy

May 25, 2007 at 06:01 AM · Mine arrived yesterday from Amazon France. Fantastic!! If you're a fan of great violin playing this is one set you must own! It didn't take that long for it to arrive. Less than 2 weeks, I think.

May 25, 2007 at 06:07 AM · This is so great...I have three of Rabin's records (yes, LPs) which I think I bought at Meadowmount years ago...they are amazing.

I thought that was all he had ever recorded...this is like finding a lost treasure, I will go out and order them...!
