Words to describe the tone of a violin include "mellow", "bright", "dark", "rich", "powerful", etc. I have to admit I find many of these terms abstract and hard to define. So, this is a question with many parts to it:
1. What are other words you have heard to describe an instrument (especially concering but not limited to its tone)?
2. Can you define those words more specifically?
3. If you play your ideal instrument, would you describe it?
or 4. If you are still looking for the violin of your dreams, how would you describe it?
