Megan Bond is an orchestra director who started her career as a strings teacher in Myrtle Beach and is currently teaching in Lexington, South Carolina. Orchestras under her musical direction have earned awards and recognition for their performances. Her students have performed in venues all over the east coast including Carowinds "Festival of Music", SCMEA Concert Performance Assessment, Pelican's baseball stadium in Myrtle Beach, OrlandoFest competition, Disney Performing Arts "You're Instrumental" clinic, and on the grounds of the U.S. Navy Memorial in Washington D.C. Under her baton, the Lexington Middle School Orchestra earned superior ratings (the highest attainable ratings) and 1st place middle school strings (AA Division) at OrlandoFest both times they competed in 2016 and 2018. In addition to teaching music, Mrs. Bond has played in the violin section of Long Bay Symphony, Lake Murray Symphony, Florence Symphony Orchestra, and Palmetto Chamber Orchestra.
