Jeremy Blackman

An ex-professional violinist and violin teacher from Melbourne and Ballarat, Australia who occasionally moonlights. Now living in Hepburn Springs, 90 minutes drive from Melbourne.

Improviser with a classical soul. Particularly interested in Bluegrass, Cajun, Celtic, Klezmer, improvisation, and chamber ensembles, especially string quartets.

I play a 1945 Nelson Oliver violin (early 19th century local Melbourne maker, this instrument is one of the violins of a string quartet made from the same wood); and I use a bow made by John Fedje.

Check out my YouTube channel for Bluegrass and a Sting cover: https://youtube.com/channel/UC3U8Ylu6OroV6Jkx2BZwrlw
