Anton Alterman
Studied the violin for about 12 years, played in college orchestras (Northwestern, Mannes) and had various semi-professional engagements for a while. My later gigs included playing Jewish fiddle music at Sheva Bruches dinenrs in Brooklyn, jamming with bluegrass players, and performing fiddle parts on a folk music CD I recorded 10 years ago. Recently tried to start a local chamber group; quartetus interruptus, unfortunately, but hope to get back to it. By profession I'm a computer system manager and philosophy professor. Violin: Ferdinand Homolka, about 100 years old. Bow: Vigneron. (And a fiberglass one by Schuster.)
