Samira Phillips

I am an amateur classical violinist (and pianist). I currently play 2nd violin with the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra, of which I have been a member for over twenty years, and I have also played in a variety of chamber groups over the years. I am still taking lessons as an advanced adult student. In 2006 I started learning classical Arabic violin by attending the Arabic Music Retreat at Mount Holyoke, where I studied for the week with Simon Shaheen.
