Salla Tyrväinen

I have got an other academic education which i nowadays live on, but i am still practicing, playing chamber music and solos. I got my final flame for the violin from the legendary Finnish violinist Heimo Haitto, who became my violin teacher when I was 15 and when piano was my other instrument as well. Later i got the MA-degree in the Sibelius-Academy on the solistic violin, having also studied for two years in the Moscow concervatory and for a year in the Hochschule Hamburg. A teacher whom I want to mention in additon to the listed, is Chaim Taub, whose master-classes I participated twice when I was already on the vacance in the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchesta (assistant principal of the first violins). The instrument I play, is a Leopold Widhalm -violin from 1756, with Knopf- and Francoise Voirín -bows.
