Paul Fehrenbach

I have been been teaching at Penn State University – DuBois Campus for 27 years. I teach music history, theory, and integrated arts at the college. My duties include directing the campus choir and instrumental ensemble as well as performing for various functions at the campus.

Besides my work in music education, I have done research in Medieval bagpipe music and have written two books on that subject. I have four CD recordings that I have made with the Celtic music group Fieldstone. I regularly perform Celtic and Folk music on fiddle and bagpipes and play guitar, violin and viola with Ornamental Nuance, a classical music ensemble. I also perform with the Warren Civic Orchestra and Riverside Chamber Ensemble.

I have six volumes of unaccompanied violin (and viola) music that I have arranged. Two are for sacred music and two are for Christmas music. One is for Folk Songs and the latest is a book of arrangements of Turlough O'Carolan compositions.
