Violinist Peter Krysa was born in Moscow, Russia and began his violin studies with his father, reknown violinist Oleh Krysa. In 1989 he moved toNorth America with his family and completed his education in Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and Manhattan School of Music in New York City. Mr. Krysa performed many solo and chamber music recitals in the United States and Europe, including concerts in Wigmore Hall, Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall, Weill Hall, and on Ukrainian Institute of America's "Music at the Institute" series. His festival credits include the Grand Teton Music Festival, Park City Chamber Music Festival, Schleswig-Holschtein Music Festival, Lake Winnipesaukee Music Festival, Music Mountain, and many others. He has collaborated in chamber music with pianists Sergei Babayan, Scott Dunn, Vladimir Feltsman, Elizaveta Kopelman, Dmitri Rachmanov, Barry Snyder and members of Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Montreal Symphony Orchestras, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
Peter resides in Vancouver, Canada. He is a member of the Vancouver Opera Orchestra and the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra.
