I passed up a full ride at the Eastman School of Music for the Ivy League, as I was told that I was not quite talented enough to be a world class violinist ...
After college, I took an almost 15-year respite from the violin, during which I - amongst other things - played some blues guitar, entered law enforcement, got married and had two beautiful children. I've since picked the violin back up and hope to pass on some sort of musical legacy to my children.
