Margaux currently works as a freelance musician in the Pittsburgh and surrounding tri-state area, performing in regional orchestras and at weddings, church services, and other special events. She regularly performs with the Youngstown and Johnstown Symphonies and has also performed with the Washington, Huntington, Westmoreland, & Altoona Symphonies and the Erie Philharmonic. During her time at Duquesne, she had the privilege of working under conductors such as Jeffrey Turner and the late Sidney Harth and has served as co-principal violist of the Duquesne Symphony Orchestra. Margaux has performed in music festivals such as the Brevard Music Festival (North Carolina), the Meadowmount School (Westport, NY), the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival (Burlington, VT) and the Interharmony International Music Festival in Tuscany, Italy. She was also a featured musician in a short animated film entitled "Ping" and on Jeremiah Clark's debut album, "Another Sad Song."
Alongside her performing, Margaux maintains teaching studios through the Pittsburgh Music Academy, Hope Academy of Music and the Arts, & Lyon's Guitar and String. She is a Suzuki-certified violin/viola teacher and received her training from Sonja Zeithamel, Marilyn O'Boyle, Roger Stieg, and Ronda Cole. She also taught at Caruso's Music Store in Carrick for 2 years and is a certified Music Together Instructor.
Margaux resides in Pittsburgh's Mt. Washington area in a quaint little home with her trombone playing husband, Aaron.
