Shauna Kaske

A passionate violinist with fourteen years of music studies, performances, and experiences, Shauna strives to reach the greatest level of her technical and performing capabilities, while bending the musical boundaries in her composing and songwriting.

She has played with the Butler University Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Youth Symphony, the Youth Symphony of DuPage, the Wheaton Pops Orchestra, and has been concertmistress of the OPUS and the Glenbard West Orchestras. She is currently the concertmaster of the Civic Theatre Orchestra. She has worked with The East Coast Chamber Orchestra and played in masterclasses for ensembles such as Brooklyn Rider and The Eroica Trio. Last summer, she toured Italy and Slovenia with the International Music Festival of the Adriatic.

Shauna is featured on the up-and-coming band Shiny Penny's song "Mr. Welker" and recorded and composed for the short film "Care" by Andrew Gelwicks. She is a blogger for, and so far all of her articles have been featured on the homepage.

Shauna will graduate with a bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from Butler University in May. In the fall, Shauna is excited to attend Ohio University as a Graduate Assistant in the Graduate String Quartet. She will study with Dawn Wohn.
