Mark Rush
Teacher, performer and author, Mark Rush, has enjoyed a diverse career encompassing many musical interests. He has performed throughout the United States and in Canada, Europe and China. Rush has recorded for ASV, CRI, Albany and Equilibrium and was nominated for a Gramophone Award in 1994. As a professor at the University of Arizona, the University of Denver and the University of Virginia, he has taught hundreds of students representing countries across the globe. His first book, Playing the Violin: An Illustrated Guide, is widely regarded as a valuable resource for violin teachers and students alike. Among his many teachers, Rush studied with Szymon Goldberg, himself a Flesch student.
