John Frantz

I am a professional Violinist, Composer and Organist. I studied the Violin at Bob Jones University with Joan Mulfinger and earned a BA in Sacred Music and MA in Violin. In 1977 I enrolled in Peabody to study violin with Berl Senofsky for 5 years. From 1981 to 1999 I was a member of the Mississippi Symphony for 17 years. I graduated Summa cum laude from Mississippi College with an MM in Theory/Composition in 1998 and, in 2003, I received my Doctor of Musical Arts from The University of South Carolina in Musical Composition.
I am the professor of Strings, and teach Violin/Viola, Music Appreciation and Form and Analysis at The University of North Carolina-Pembroke. I am looking for serious violin and viola students in the Wayne County, Goldsboro, NC and from the triangle area of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.
