Julie Elman
I am a dedicated adult "returner" to the violin. I took lessons from ages 9 to 13. I picked up the violin again, for just four months, at age 20. And now, in my 40s, I'm playing like I had never put the instrument down to begin with. My goal is to play for a community orchestra or chamber group. I've been studying with Marjorie Bagley at Ohio University since the fall of 2005. (Before moving to Ohio, I studied with two members -- a violist and then a violinist -- of the Virginia Symphony.)
