Jehan Kanga is a young artistic director, baroque violinist, producer and baritone singer in Sydney. He is responsible for forming and nurturing some of the best new ensembles in Sydney and is the current artistic director of the University of Sydney Madrigal Society which is looking to tour Australia in 2011. He has recently been appointed to the new role of assistant to the director of The Song Company, Australia's foremost vocal ensemble under director Roland Peelman.
Jehan has particular interests in promoting both Early and Contemporary music, especially where inter-arts collaborations are concerned.
As the director of the Verge Arts Festival in 2009, foundation councillor for the Australian Youth Music Council, and Youth representative on the Australian Classical Music Summit 2010 steering committee, Jehan represents one of Sydney's most influential and active young musicians.
