James Wall

I have been playing and teaching around the greater St. Louis area for over 15 years. Having studied violin pedagogy, both current and historic, my philosophy in teaching and performing is that technique must serve artistic expression. Both a science and an art, instrumental practice and performance is subject to objective perception. My process is to use the scientific method and history in order to more sensitively express the works of great composers, and to teach others how to do the same.
