Though I've long harbored an interest in the violin, I am starting as a student, just as the sun is setting on the horizon of my 40's.

I studied computer science and work in information technology at an educational institute.

My interest in the violin started with the release of Star Wars in 1977, and many hours spent listening to the music of John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra.

Though I've always loved music, I've never been very successful in learning to play music, until I actually tried the violin. Earlier in life, any suggestion of learning the violin was met with skepticism, as the violin seems so difficult to so many. As I recently discovered though, the violin is the perfect match for me... a technical instrument for a technical person.
