Hannah Williams
Hannah began her violin training at the age of 12 (after many years of begging her parents for lessons). She has studied privately with a number of different teachers, most recently Margaret Jones, former violinist in the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Throughout highschool, Hannah played in the Kokomo Youth Symphony Orchestra, serving as concertmaster for the last three years. She also participated in various student chamber ensembles, and had the opportunity to perform in concert as well as for hire. As a freelance violinist, she has performed concerts (along with her string-playing sisters) for various historical organizations across the state, private functions, local church concerts & college operas/plays. She is a violinist in the IUK/Kokomo Community Orchestra.
Hannah is a certified Suzuki violin teacher. She has completed Suzuki teacher training for violin units 1-4 with Linda Stieg, Roger Stieg, & Martha Shackford.
In addition to violin, Hannah also enjoys playing piano. She began lessons at the age of six and studied through the end of highschool. She has over eight years of experience as a church accompanist and (no surprise) her favorite thing to do on piano is accompany.
Hannah believes music is a gift and loves to share this gift with others through performing and teaching. She loves working with children of all ages and delights in bringing joy to them through the exciting journey of learning music.
"The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul." -J.S. Bach
