John Greenwood

John Greenwood has been professional bowmaker working in San Francisco since 1997. His bows are played by more than 25 string players in the San Francisco Symphony and SF Opera.

In addition, he maintains a busy practice skillfully rehairing and repairing better quality bows.

John received extensive training with European and American master bowmakers and is a regular attendee of the master level Oberlin Bowmaker's Workshop. He's also an accomplished violinist and active chamber musician.

John maintains a representative sampling of violin, viola, cello, and bass bows in stock. Hours are by appointment in San Francisco, California.
