Late starting amateur (age 30 when I began) with almost 40 years of study and playing. Now I find that I am teaching and both loving it as well as surprisingly good at it. Played with amateur orchestras but no longer have the stamina or desire for performing. Assisting with a local youth orchestra (oldest in NJ).

I'm looking for one or two local (Dover, NJ) aspiring young musicians who really want to play the violin with an emphasis on young people who probably cannot afford private lessons (I'm giving scholarships). I use the Doflien method and my students have progressed rapidly, often faster than others because I only teach a very few dedicated young people.
