Catie Rinderknecht

A native of eastern Iowa, Catherine Rinderknecht began her violin studies at the age of 4. She completed her Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance with distinction at the University of Iowa and her Master of Music degree in Violin Performance at the University of Oklahoma. While at OU, she served as a graduate assistant, participated in the OU Symphony Orchestra and opera orchestra, served as concertmaster of the OU Civic Orchestra, and played in various chamber music ensembles. Catherine currently teaches violin lessons at Infinity Music Arts Academy and the Fine Arts Academy at Southern Hills Baptist Church (OKC), and performs with the Amarillo Symphony (TX). Her principal teachers include Hal Grossman, Scott Conklin, and Doris Preucil. When she has completed her formal education, Catherine hopes to teach at the collegiate level where she can share her love of music with students while helping them to find their own voices in the musical world and maintain an active career as a solo and collaborative artist.
