Catherine Stay
Hello, my name is Catherine Stay and I teach Violin Lessons via Skype. I also offer lessons in Composition and Conducting. About six months after I graduated from high school, I picked up the violin. I have to use a left-handed violin instead of the regular right-handed violin because of my cerebral palsy.(thanks to a friend who had recommended it to me). This friend even helped me determine the correct size for my violin(which is three quarters instead of the normal full-size). As far as the violin went, I taught myself using various methods for about four years(Suzuki, Applebaum, Galamian and others). I have to be honest, I’m not a big fan of the Suzuki method (but to each their own I guess). PLEASE NOTE: I ONLY TAKE 10 STUDENTS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS(TWO EACH DAY). the lesson fee is ten dollars but the lesson can go as long as needed(ex. three hours)
