I'm an amateur violinist who has rediscovered dedicated practice. What brought me back was realizing how much I love the music of Bach, now more so than when I was a child, in particular his solo and obbligato violin works.

My experience is nine years of study as a child, half of that with a student of Kurt Sassmannshaus and Dorothy Delay, and two years of study since returning to regular practice, studying with a student of Stephen Shipps and Erick Friedmann.

My current playing level would equate to 7 on Kurt Sassmannshaus's difficulty scale (on violinmasterclass.com), working on 8.
