I am an adult beginner. I am 52 years old now. I have been learning for about 3 years. There are no luthiers in Cairns so I have to do all adjustments to the violin myself. I have spent as much on violin tools as I have on violins ! I do not have a teacher as they are pretty scarce up here too. I did have a teacher when I was living in Brisbane and she got me started for the first six months.
