Maritza Soto
Maritza Soto is at her 3rd year at WWU working on her bachelor's in violin performance. She is the concertmistress in the WWU symphony orchestra, and has been a member of the Whatcom Symphony Orchestra for 5 years, and has worked in many operas with the Skagit Opera Orchestra, Marrowstone Festival & Intern chamber Orchestra, and All-State Symphony orchestra. In 2006, MENC awarded her as one of the top 100 high school musicians in the United States. She has toured to Canada, Seattle, New York and China for symphony orchestra performances including singing opera arias with the orchestra in Beijing, Xian, and Jilin. She hopes on furthering her studies and becoming a professor of violin someday.
