Miguel Garcia

Miguel Garcia carries over 10 years of experience as an orchestral player, chamber musician, and soloist to the stage. Recent appearances include concerts with Orchestra Nova, the CCPA Symphony Orchestra, and the Virtuoso Philharmonic of Chicago.

Mr. Garcia is a former student of William Steck, Mark Lakirovich, and Herbert Greenberg. He graduated with distinction from Boston College in 2011, and is the winner of the 2008 and 2011 Boston College Concerto Competitions. Mr. Garcia is an alumni and former concertmaster of the International Music Academy in Regensburg, Germany, and Cremona, Italy. He attended the Aspen Music Festival in 2011. After receiving his M.M. in Violin Performance ('13) from Roosevelt University, Mr. Garcia taught for six years in Chicago as the Music Director of the Urban Prairie Waldorf School. Currently, Miguel is working towards a Ph.D in Music Education at Northwestern University.
