My instruction teaches music as both an art and a skill. I take into account your goals and abilities and develop a personalized curriculum to get you to make the most progress in the least amount of time while having the most fun. I’ve taught children and adults from ages 6 to 66; brand new beginners, and those that returned to the violin after a long hiatus.

I studied violin with Anastasia Solberg, chamber music with Blair McMillen and Garfield Moore, and composition with Joan Tower. In 2012 I played first violin in the Bard College Orchestra and the River Ensemble, and joined the Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra and the Woodstock Chamber Orchestra for concerts in their 2012-2013 seasons. I hold an A.A.S. in Music from SUNY Ulster, and a B.A. in Music from Bard College.
