Rhoda Barfoot

Rhoda Barfoot is a professional musician and qualified teacher. She is Director of online stringed instruments store http://thestringsfamily.com, specialist in orchestral stringed instruments for schools, youth orchestras and strings programs.

Rhoda studied music at Queen’s University Belfast, graduating with First Class Honours, the Hamilton Harty Scholarship and the Ashby Prize. She then studied violin in Geneva with Jean-Pierre Wallez, gaining the LRSM with distinction. Rhoda completed her advanced study in violin at Conservatorium Maastricht with Robert Szreder, and piano as a second instrument with Igo Lange. She holds a B.Mus. degree and music teaching qualification from the Conservatorium.

Her first album, Across the Sea to Ireland, was recorded in Nashville with Grammy-nominated producer Erick J. and a stellar line-up of musicians. Across the Sea to Ireland has just been released on iTunes, Amazon etc:
