"You're never too old to twinkle." Back in the days, when I was 36, I picked up my son's half size violin and started playing along with Suzuki records. For a variety of reasons I put the violin aside for 10 years. Recently, after some intermittent private lessons and various full size fiddles, I embarked on my most serious attempt to master the violin to the best of my ability.
My learning mantra, a coda to Suzuki: Until they plant us, we can acquire knowledge and develop skills.
I'm a mother and wife by intent, a speech pathologist by profession and a music student by obession.
