Gene Huang

Amateur violinist. In 2011, I attended a recital of the talented Anne Akiko Meyers, and was inspired to take up my violin again after 20+ years away from it. These days I play whatever and whenever I want, and enjoy it much more than I did when I was younger!

I started the violin at age 5, taking lessons from 1974 - 1987. My list of private teachers, in reverse chronological order: William Kennedy, Anne Crowden, Ron Erickson, James Maurer, Ms. Arnette, Mr. Gershengorn, Mr. Lockhart, Paul Landefeld.

I am currently concertmaster (since 2015) of South Bay Philharmonic, a community orchestra based in Silicon Valley.
