Gary Tigner

Gary Tigner, violinist, holds performance degrees from The Ohio State University and Mannes College of Music. In addition, Mr. Tigner studied Suzuki pedagogy at the School for Strings in New York City.

Placing a strong emphasis on education, Mr. Tigner started several orchestra programs in New York as well as teaching privately at Rutgers Preparatory School, St. Thomas Choir School, and the Third Street Music School. His students have gone on to conservatories and major schools across the country. Gary’s students have ranged in age from three to 72 and have covered a wide spectrum of the violin repertoire from Suzuki materials to advanced level pieces.

Gary helps his students to develop strong practice habits building a strong foundation and a solid technique which leads to a life-long joy of music making.
