I am an engineer by training and studied the violin as a teenager under the tutelage of my father. It was an uncool instrument in those days and I gave it up. So much for being cool. Now 50 years later at the age of 68 I am again playing the violin and it is cool. I am never going to be very good but my dream is to play Meditation at Theis as I remember hearing my father play it. I have his 1774 Chappuy, a 1998 Gliga Meistro, and an unlabeled 1930 something French studio violin. (this is my boat fiddle).
