Learnt to play as an adult aged 21, but fortunately I was able to study with some wonderful teachers.
My first teacher was Victor Gambazza a busy freelance violinist playing in London orchestras who I studied with for four and half years. I then studied with Michael Zabludow (former assistant leader of the Philharmonic Orchestra and of the Max Rostal/Carl Flesch school) before spending some time at Colchester Institue where my violin professor was Beth Spendlove a graduate of the RAM and the Yehudi Menuhin School.
Now almost 60 and still playing, but maybe not so fast!
