Caleb Polashek

Caleb Hans Polashek is a versatile violinist happy to play in a number of styles. He recently performed as the featured soloist with the Central Iowa Symphony for their October 2011 Season Opening concert. He debuted his original cadenza for the Khachaturian Violin Concerto at this performance.

Caleb Hans is currently in his final year of grad school at the University of Texas Butler School of Music. He studies principally with Brian Lewis, and has studied chamber music with members of the Miro Quartet. Caleb frequently serves as concertmaster of the University of Texas Symphony Orchestra, a position he has won by audition on multiple occasions.

Caleb Hans is the violinist in the rock band Les RAV, and will be recording a full length album in May of 2012 with the group. The opportunity to produce a professional quality recording was won through the Texas Recording Conservatory of Austin Singer-Songwriter competition held in December 2011.

Symphonic playing is a passion for Caleb, and he has performed in the Austin, Waco, and Central Iowa Symphonies.

Caleb has participated in numerous festivals, most recently the Sunflower Festival in Kansas. Other summer activities have included the Colorado College Summer Music Festival, the International Festival at Round Top, and the Vols Am Schlern International Festival.
