Alan Oresky

I am a semi-retired music educator, having taught instrumental music for 37 years in the Prince George's County, MD Public Schools. I am a former director of the Prince George's P.S. All-County Preparatory (Honors) Orchestra.

I am also a professional freelance musician. I have freelanced on violin and mandolin for over 40 years, mainly in the DC-Baltimore area. I play a variety of styles featuring, but not limited to,
Jewish (including Klezmer), bluegrass, folk (including Celtic), blues, swing, jazz and rock. I have professional recording credits on albums in many of the above styles, and released a solo, self-produced CD in 1994, with the support of a number of renowned musicians in the Washington, DC / Baltimore area.
