Andrew Basa

I am a free-lance violinist and violist in Chicago, and I am also a jazz bassist! I've played with Samuel Magad and the Chicago Symphony Chamber Players, and have played at Royal Albert Hall in London under Sir David Willcocks. I studied with Jessie Buchtel, Vivian Sweet and Vincent Skowronski, all in Evanston.

I live in Chicago's Hyde Park with my wife (conductor, violinist and teacher Rhea Schnur Basa) and our three daughters - all of whom play string instruments!
