Hi Dear Community! I would like to ask for your help because I am don t know how to solve/improve this following thing this has been bothering me since some months. (I am currently a student in Germany and my level is advanced just for you to know the level and to see this question from same point of view like me) I want to have a better vibrato, I noticed that I can’t really vibrate on double stops and that my hand motion might not help me produce a very loose vibrato like I wish. I did many exercises from slow to fast with Metronom , I rested my violin next to the wall, but I just don’t know what I am really doing wrong that my first joint is not flexible like I see at so many people and known soloists. When they vibrate it looks like they’re finger collapse very much and it s quite noticeable and I don t know from where to get that movement. My vibrato is ok it works ,just not always on double stops but I really wish I cound do same movement because I feel I could improve so much if I understand how to exactly to it in that particular way. Maybe if you have time and would like to understand what I am talking about listen to this example from this recording https://youtu.be/pSXJ2gIxI10 minute: 13.08-13.40 especially the D note from A string 3rd position, 1st finger Please share with me any suggestions or solution you might have ,your help can really change my life. I asked also many violinist and also my prof..I didn’t find any solution till now… thank you from the bottom of my heart! Tweet
