Watch the Indianapolis Competition Livestream

July 2007

It's a good day.

July 23, 2007 12:52

I had a wonderful practice today! I have been working intently on bowing and relaxing. Whether the planets came into alignment or not I don't know, but my body relaxed and my bowing sounded sweet! What was a difficult passage, seemed easy and light. What a treat it was to have that small victory today!

I had read an article in a golf magazine where Joshua Bell compared his golf swing to violin. How important it is to relax and not "crush" the ball. Power and control comes from a quiet/smooth and relaxed swing.

I took that onboard and tried to implement and not fight. I had a wonderful practice today!
