We understand the importance of the business of the violin, and know that business can be tough, even in the best of times. That's why we're working to provide multiple resources to our fellow violinists, so that we can support on another as we try to spread the word about the violin.
In 2013, we reintroduced our free listing directories for teachers and performers and we hope that will help many of you to find new students and gigs in 2014. In addition, to our teacher and performer directories, we invite Violinist.com members to post free "for sale" notices on our Discussion Board. Even though we don't charge to place commercial notices on our Discussion Board, or to list yourself in our teachers' or performers' directories, we do ask that, if you earn something from these listings, you consider donating an appropriate commission to Violinist.com in return.
If you've found Violinist.com to be of especially valuable use to you in 2013, we hope that you'll consider making a contribution to the site. Just click the "Donate" button below and send whatever amount you consider appropriate.
You also can help support the Violinist.com community by supporting the businesses that have sponsored our community. As you consider their products and services, we hope that you'll take a moment to thank them for their support of Violinist.com, as well.
We hope that you'll continue supporting the violin community in 2014 by attending concerts in your community, reaching out to prospective students and fans, buying recordings and sheet music, supporting luthiers and music shops, and encouraging everyone you know to listen to great music. The more we grow our violin community, online and in our local communities, the more support we all will enjoy for our love of the violin.
