ahh, i knew boredom would eventually drive me to start a blog. What a dead day, i had to leave at 630 to go resolve a stupid fix-it-ticket and the line for traffic court was astoundingly long, by the time i got back i didn't feel like doing scales, i felt like lying in the sun for a few hours. which i did, and now I still dont feel like practicing, oh well. Sleep deprevation kills motivation i'm finding out, but i managed to get in maybe 2 hours of semi-focused (emphasis on semi) practicing. On the bright side of things paganini 11 is finally starting to feel comfortable. I've always wanted to play that caprice and now i can, guess practicing pays off, (surprise). I had an inkling my gut strings were in their death throes and lo and behold i swapped on a set of infelds and im twice as good, for some reason i kill strings really fast. I sort of want this day to be over so i can sleep and wake up rested and actually practice, but i've been invited to a hearts game at the coffee shop and all my friends know i cant resist the lure of hearts. Besides, im the champion, i have a reputation to defend. Anyway im thinking of putting on a concert, these are the pieces im considering.
saint-saens intro and rondo
wieniawski concerto 2,
kresiler praeludium and allegro
wieniawski scherzo tarantella
maybe paganini 16 and possibly some bach as an encore, assuming they're still awake. I cant for the life of me decide what order to put them in though. If you actually read through all that muck and think you know the secret of arranging programs please share the wealth and email me.
