Every other week, we meet to rehearse and socialize. Mostly it is more socialization than rehearsal unless there is a deadline to perform, if only before a few friend and peers. What binds us is a common passion. Our ages range from 40's (me) to the the 70's. Our careers range from writers to biological statisticians. We are all equally challenged in counting to 4 reliably.
We're not pros by any stretch of the imagination, but we can pull off a passable Schumann after a grand total of 6 hours of rehearsal.
Our long range goals are to play and possibly record and post the 2nd movement of the Schumann Piano Quartet next year.
Now for some "Shooot! er, Schumann". Yes, that's what we meant... Stay slow and stay calm, and keep playing no matter what happens. What's a few notes missed -or not- between friends? Are you ready? Play! It's what matters.
