Today, my practice was great, I started with some scales with and without vibrato, then I started working on the part that was giving me trouble in bach violin concerto in A minor, it had improved a lot so I focused on the parts that were rough and then I decided to play the entire piece. I felt it was very well played not just intonation but also my dynamics had improved and my bow arm was controlled I felt great after I finished playing then I worked on the trouble spots agaib and started my next piece. After bach I started polishing mozart's eine kleine nachtmusich, I really love this piece and my interpretation has improved a lot I just need to work a little bit more on it until its ready. Then I finished with pachelbel's canon and bocherinni's minuet, I played those pieces for fun. I always enjoy practicing but today It was better.
So during my lesson my teacher was demonstrating something on my violin and when she finished she told me tha my strings were too hard, when I told her that i have been using them since last year she was like ok... and then when she found out(I told her) that my A D and G strings were the same strings that came with my violinshe freaked out and she was like OH MY GOD they put those strings to say they are selling a violin with strings but those strings are horrible so she told me I should change the strings .
So last night I took ut my violin an started the process of changing the strings, I had only seen my previous teacher doing it once so at first I was doubting, but hen I though tthat even if I break them I would learn from the experience so in the end I DID IT so i have a violin with new strings that sounds better and its easier to play on it and i have gained more knowledege on tuning and changing strings.
