The Concours musical international de Montréal (Montreal International Music Competition) is taking applications for its 2023 Violin edition, which is open to violinists born between January 1, 1993, and December 31, 2006. The deadline to apply is November 15 -The 2023 Violin edition will take place April 22 through May 4, 2023 in Montreal. Founded in 2001, the Montreal International Music Competition is an annual competition that rotates between voice, violin and piano.
Participants will compete in 2023 for prizes totaling CA$158,500, including a First Prize of CA$80,000, Second Prize CA$15,000 and Third Prize CA$10,000.
Finalists will be accompanied by Orchestre symphonique de Montréal with conductor Rafael Payare during the semi-final and final rounds of the competition.

Other past first-place violinist laureates of the Montreal competition include Ayana Tsuji (2016); Marc Bouchkov (2013); Benjamin Beilman (2010); Jinjoo Cho (2006); and Yossif Ivanov (2003).
