Emil Chudnovsky -- he is not only a fantastic violinist and faculty member at the new Kirov Academy of Music (associated with the Academy of Ballet) in Washington, D.C., but he is also one of the longest-standing members of Violinist.com, having joined us in the early 2000's for many (often heated!) discussion board conversations.
If you have been reading Violinist.com for a long time, you may have heard of violinistSo when he asked me to appear on the Kirov Academy's new Classical Music Podcast, I was happy to oblige. We talked about the intersection of Internet and classical music, the early days of the Violinist.com, and about what the future might look like for today's violinists. Hope you enjoy our conversation!
NOTE: Emil will be performing in a concert in honor of the late Victor Danchenko on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET; you can watch it on Youtube at this link. They've also put up some lovely photos and written a memorial to Danchenko on this page.
