Kelly Hall-Tomkins: In addition to performing as a soloist with orchestras around the world, Kelly Hall-Tompkins was the "Fiddler" in the Broadway production of "Fiddler on the Roof" for more than 400 performances, inspiring her to commission and record “The Fiddler Expanding Tradition." She also founded Music Kitchen - Food for the Soul, a social justice initiative which has brought more than 100 classical concerts to homeless shelters all across the U.S. and in France. Music Kitchen was scheduled to present the World Premiere of the "Forgotten Voices Song Cycle" at Carnegie Hall in spring 2020 before it was delayed due to the pandemic. Kelly is the winner of a Naumburg International Violin Competition Honorarium Prize and featured in the Smithsonian Museum for African-American History. She is also a newly appointed faculty member of the Manhattan School of Music. Samantha Washecka, 14, from Round Rock, Texas has been playing the violin since the age of two. She has earned many musical awards, including performing in numerous honor’s recitals, winning the Texas MTNA Jr. Strings competition, being selected to perform in the 2020 Suzuki Association of the America’s masterclass and violin performing ensemble. She was also a member of the TMEA All-State symphony orchestra. Previously a student of Dr. Laurie Scott, Samantha currently studies with William Fedkenheuer of the Miró Quartet. She also has performed in masterclasses for Katie Lansdale and Paul Kantor. Samantha also is an accomplished pianist and enjoys playing the viola as a member of the MMSQ, a string quartet she formed with her friends in 2015. She will perform "Banjo and Fiddle" by William Kroll.
Jasmine Li, 13, from Los Angeles, started with the piano at age six, then took up the violin at age nine. As a pianist she has won numerous Bach Competitions and other awards. She started the violin in an after-school program, then went on to study at Sol La Music Academy with Margaret Lysy. She is a member of the Colburn School String Orchestra and was selected for HeifetzPeg summer camp. She also has studied ballet for seven years and enjoys drawing, writing, film and swimming. She will play the first movement from Kabalevsky's Concerto in C Major Violin - accompanied by herself.
