Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, in which 48 ensembles from around the world competed virtually last week, May 7-9. Top winners in the strings division included the Rice University Shepherd School of Music-based Balourdet String Quartet and the Andover, Mass.-based Phillips Trio.

Kenneth Geoffroy Memorial Prize ($700)
To encourage the participation of local chamber music ensembles in the Fischoff Competition, a special prize is awarded to the highest ranking junior ensemble from the Michiana region (60 mile radius of South Bend).
