If you missed it, here it is: the Dorothy DeLay Centennial Celebration in New York, organized by Philippe Quint and streamed Sunday on Facebook Live by the Violin Channel from Le Poisson Rouge. Quint, along with violinists Chee-Yun, Kurt Nikkanen, Paul Huang, Randall Goosby and John Novacek, will perform some of DeLay's favorite works, including pieces by Sarasate, Mauer and Moszkowski. They also will present video tributes from superstar former students Itzhak Perlman, Midori Goto, Jimmy Lin and David Kim and have a panel discussion with former students as well as DeLay’s children, Jeffrey Newhouse and Alison Dinsmore.
