Frank Peter Zimmermann Plays Mozart & Bach (DVD)
Frank Peter Zimmermann
German violinist Frank Peter Zimmermann performs Mozart’s Violin Concertos Nos. 3 and 5 A major with the Berliner Philharmoniker under the baton of Bernard Haitink; and he plays Johann Sebastian Bach’s violin sonatas with pianist Enrico Pace. "It is by far the greatest [joy] to play this music, to work with this music, to stride through this music over and over again," Zimmermann said. "It is so ingenious and powerful."
